What is a sponsor? And how is a sponsor different from a member?
A sponsor of the Southwest Hardwood Manufacturers Club is generally a company that is a member of the support industry for the membership of the Club. This would be a company that offers products or services that help our members in the production of hardwood products that we market around the world. This could be machinery suppliers, insurance companies, fuel suppliers, transportation companies, or construction companies. In some cases, some of our regular members sponsor meetings and events in support of the on-going expenses of the club. In all cases, we are grateful and proud of our sponsors who make our meetings possible and the continued efforts of the Southwest Hardwood Manufacturers Club.
The difference between a sponsor and a member is that members are allowed to vote on issues that come before the club. Sponsors attend and participate in club activities as guests and are not permitted to vote on club business
